We really enjoyed Manhattan in the Desert while we were there. We ate there several times for different meals and everything was excellent. The food was reasonably priced and the service was good. We enjoyed being able to take food back to the house from the deli. Almost all the restaurants in the area that we tried were very good.

Excellent food! Great environment. As its name suggests, Margarita's Restaurant in Palm Springs offers terrific tasting Mexican food and great Margaritas - and is centrally and conveniently located at the corner of Tahquitz Canyon Drive and Ave. Caballeros across the street from the Palm Springs Convention Center in downtown Palm Springs. Try the fajitas here, they're excellent - and offered with shrimp, beef, chicken or carnitas pork.

Offering both indoor and outdoor seating, the vibe at Margarita's Restaurant in Palm Springs is friendly and fun and the architecture is a pleasing mix of warmth with exposed woods and warm earth tones. Margarita's Restaurant also features one of Palm Springs best sushi bars and oyster bars.

Melvyn's is a legendary Palm Springs classic. This acclaimed downtown Palm Springs restaurant has both a glorious past and an active and celebrated present: it's a place where you feel as if Frank Sinatra could walk in at any moment...and when Sinatra lived in Palm Springs, he was a frequent visitor at Melvyn's along with countless other stars of yesteryear. Melvyn's is a classic supper club-style, set in a romantic and nostalgic inn located just west of downtown Palm Springs. The menu is reminiscent of New York in the 1930s: Shrimp Cocktails, Oysters Rockerfeller, Steak au Poive, French Chicken Breast, and countless other tributes to the past. Piano Bar, dancing, open for lunch and dinner. Featuring Sunday Brunch. Dinner is served 6-10 daily. Lunch Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Reservations suggested. A reasonable dress code is enforced, no jeans or shorts, for example.

Gary from Rice Lake, WI wrote the following review on April 4th, 2010

Melvyn's is exquisite, where four of us dined at noon one day. Shame on the Moon is also not to be missed. And for the best in fine French cuisine, Le Vallauris in PS's is amazing.

If you're going to stay at this house, then you have to go to Melvyn's for dinner one night and really feel like you're in Old Hollywood. It is a total blast-from-the-past yet surprisingly good food. The waiters had worked there 37 and 25 years respectively and were a hoot. Haven't had so many dishes prepared table side (caesar salad, steak Diane, cherries flambé) in years! Also be sure to check out Johannes, Citron, The Tropicale, El Mirasol, Spencer's, Cheeky's, Jake's, Kings Highway and the Purple Palm.

The best restaurant in Coachella for sure. Awesome menu and fantastic staff. The food is delicious from appetizer to dessert. Extensive wine list. A MUST for a wonderful meal. We stayed in PS seven days and ate dinner at Miro's four times.

Try the Tikka Chicken. As a guest, you get to tell the cook how spicy to make it on a one to ten scale. We ate there twice, and found a buy one get one half-off in one of the entertainment freebie papers.

This popular restaurant is known for its hip decor and unique menu - an excellent choice for fine dining or a casual party for family or friends. The ambiance at Mr. Parker's resembles a hip supper club with a nostalgic nod to the past. The restaurant features great sixties artwork with design by Jonathan Adler. The food is of great quality, refined and full of flavor. The wine list here is impressive.
