Tropicale restaurant is a stylish choice for dinner located in downtown Palm Springs across from the post office. The ambience is fantastic - midcentury modern era supper club style - with warm tones, plush booths, up-to-date design with a respectful nod to the past, plus a great bar that is both indoor and outdoor. The vibe is upscale with casual elegance. The crowd is lively, the spot is hip and comfortable. The food is American supper club style with great menu variety - steaks, seafood, salads, fried chicken, pizzas, meatloaf and creative appetizers. Reservations, especially for weekend dining, are recommended.

A chic and sophisticated decor provides the setting for distinctive "world cuisine", a provocative mix of zesty influences that creates a delightful dining experience. The cuisine has a light, exotic feel with an emphasis on Pacific Rim specialties, from Chilean Sea Bass baked in Banana Leaves or Kahlua-Barbecued Pork Chops to all sorts of tasty tapas, salads, wood-fired pizzas, and desserts. An ideal place where friends gather and martinis are sipped under the starlit desert sky.

My favorite restaurant in Palm Springs. Decor is lovely--like a 1950s living room. And the outdoor space is inviting, too. Service is impeccable. The food is excellent. And so are the cocktails. It is such a fun place we usually go there twice per week.
