Built for John and Fannie Hamrick, this historic masterpiece will transport you to the glamorous golden era of Palm Springs yesteryear. Make your way outside through the living area and you will be greeted by a sparkling private pool and sweeping views of the mountains beyond. Don't worry about mealtimes, as a gas grill awaits for a cookout in the sunshine and a fully equipped kitchen awaits inside to whip up any recipe with ease. When it is time to head inside for the night, the wet bar will be ready for guests to make favorite cocktails and the spacious great room features a large sectional couch, vintage art, a 47' HDTV, and a large wood-burning fireplace to complete this inviting space.

WHAT’S NEARBY

There will be no delay in making the best vacation memories here, as you will be a two-mile drive into downtown Palm Springs for shopping and a bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants such as Workshop Kitchen, Cheeky’s, Farm, Rooster and the Pig (takeout only). Take your pick of local boutiques, art galleries, and casinos that line the famous Palm Canyon Drive. Not to mention, taking a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will be a breeze, as this getaway is at the base of the mountain. For a bit of hiking, there are multiple trails surrounding the town and Mount San Jacinto State Park is also close by.

THINGS TO KNOW

Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

My 3 friends and I enjoyed a 4-night stay last week. We absolutely loved the location, away from the far-too-busy and noisy downtown area of Palm Springs. The pool and view were amazing. This house is all set for a crowd, with plenty of dishes and bar-ware to last. The owners have a terrific book and magazine collection. There were only a couple of issues we encountered, all of which were quickly resolved, Vacasa was easily reachable and responsive. There was miscommunication on heating the pool so we missed out on one day of really good temps for it, but once it was heated, it was perfect.

Stayed here the end of March 2021, and couldn’t be happier with the accommodations. Beautiful setting in a wonderfully vintage home. We enjoy the built in bar, along with the heated pool. Would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful location with classic 40’s ambiance. Slightly threadbare in spots but the pool is outstanding as is the layout. Good kitchen with plenty of supplies. Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Like traveling back in time to this home. The view from the pool/backyard are perfect. Sunrise coffee on the deck is unforgettable. Definitely coming back.
