It was not disclosed -- and it should be, in VERY BIG LETTERS -- but this house sits directly next to a very, very loud highway. The sound of traffic never stops from day to night, and any chance to enjoy the beautiful pool was beyond ruined by that noise. Trucks, motorcycles, ambulances and cars racing past at high speeds LITERALLY NEVER STOPPED. There is nothing but a hedge between the pool and the highway. We stayed 1 night of the 5 we booked. The noise was horrible, even inside with all the doors closed. My sister and I spent a moment in the hot tub, but gave up after shouting at each other just to be heard. The house, the pool and the grounds are all very beautiful. But none of that matters if you have even remotely normal hearing.
