WHAT’S NEARBY

This home is located in the Movie Colony East neighborhood of Palm Springs, just a few blocks northeast of Ruth Hardy Park's public tennis courts and playgrounds. Downtown Palm Springs and Palm Canyon Drive - home to an assortment of excellent restaurants, boutiques, theaters, and other sources of entertainment - are one mile west. There are several beautiful 18-hole golf courses within a short drive, great hiking opportunities in Tahquitz Canyon (three miles south) and Indian Canyons (six miles south), and lovely views to be had on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (six miles west).

  • Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • For stays 29-nights or more, additional discounts may be available, please contact Vacasa for more information.
  • The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

Beautifully appointed home with all amenities, pool, 3 bathrooms, two bathrooms, seems to have been recently remodeled. Our only issue was the air conditioner. It made a lot of noise, seems like an old, poorly efficient unit that doesn’t even work properly. We were told in writing to leave ac on 76 which we did. We had to contact Vacasa in writing and request fans, we were actually sweating inside the house with 85 degrees temperature inside it- not a healthy situation when you can’t even open Windows because it’s too hot outside! I recommended on my written review that they check this ac unit. There is no flow of air in the back bedroom by the kitchen, living areas outside the bedrooms were hot. We were not able to use that bedroom at night, bathrooms remain extremely hot day and night. I wrote on my review that the AC may need gas or has a leak, because apparently if the temperature is lowered, lines would freeze! There are ceiling fans, but not good enough. Vacasa was very helpful in trying to solve the problem for us.
I have traveled the world and stayed in places warmer than Palm Springs and never had this issue. Outside temperature ranged between 101 and 110. Decided not to stay at a hotel due to covid and to avoid crowds. Still don’t regrets our decision.
Other than the issue with the ac, it was a lovely house, beautiful pool area which we enjoyed a lot. The company was very responsive. I’d like to give this house a 5 but it’s not possible. Again, Vacasa was very good in trying to resolve the issue with the heat inside the house.
I would definitely use Vacasa again, for a rental in Palm Springs. Thanks.

Super cute cottage with awesome pool and outdoor area. Very close to downtown Palm Springs and all the great dining spots. House sleeps 8 and is very comfortable for a group gathering. I highly recommend!!

If you are looking for a great home for a Palm Springs getaway - look no further than the `Movie Colony Pool Retreat` home! Great location - close to town - but just far enough away for great R&R if that is what you are looking for. Fun house - great kitchen - decorated with Palm Springs panache. So grab a Martini and hang by the pool (just like Dean and Frank!) or head into town for a great meal....we had many! Easy to make reservations. No hassle - no hidden fees.
