The backyard is a desert oasis, featuring a sparkling saline swimming pool, a spillover spa, and beautiful views of the mountains that surround Palm Springs. You'll take afternoon naps in the shaded lounge chairs, dine with your loved ones on the covered terrace, and relax in the evenings by sharing stories around the custom fireplace in the great room. There are three ensuite bedrooms with full bathrooms each. The interior of the home has been professionally designed to provide the best lodging and relaxation experience.

This home is located in the upscale gated community of The Colony of El Mirador, which offers both tranquility and convenience to downtown Palm Springs. Palm Canyon Drive - the main strip that's lined with wonderful restaurants, shops, casinos, and other sources of entertainment - is less than a mile west, while Ruth Hardy Park's tennis courts and playgrounds are a few blocks southwest. Tee off at one of the more than 100 golf courses that await in the immediate area, go hiking in Tahquitz Canyon (three miles south), or take in the view from the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway six miles west.

THINGS TO KNOW

Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

This was our second year at this gorgeous property. Everything about it is swell. The pool and surroundings are varied and comfortable allowing you to be in or out of the sun depending on the seating area. The house is large and airy with endless places to sit, stretch out, curl up or read. The spacious kitchen has room for more than 2 cooks at a time! There are 2 dining rooms - a formal one and every day. And the casita is perfect for guests who want a bit more privacy. The landscaping is lush and humming birds swoop amidst the flowering vines. Any time there is a question or concern the property manager Frank is quick to respond. Nothing can compare to the view of the mountains at daybreak. They glow. This iplace is a gem!

This a large very comfortable house with gorgeous grounds and an enormous pool. We loved all the various places you can make yourself cozy - outdoors and indoors. The lovely casita is a perfect place for guests to have privacy. There were four of us preparing meals some nights and the kitchen was so ample and so well equipped, that no one was under foot. We are hoping to return!

The spacious house feels like a home and has carefully curated furniture, very good high end aminities and a lovely selection of books. The large outdoor space is well designed for lounging and dining offering sunny and shaded areas with teak and rattan furniture. The grounds with mature flowering and fruit bearing plantings reflect the thoughtfully planned landscaping with privacy hedge, flowering vines and a very clean pool / spa. This part of Movie Colony is gated, well maintained, friendly with peaceful streets with no fast cars. The views of the palms and partial views of the mountains are very pleasant. Beds were of a high quality and kitchen was a cook`s dream. Seperate casita is generous in size and perfect for guests. Staff were very pleasant and personal manager is a plus! It is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the airport and near the rental agency. Shopping and restaurants are close by. The location is near the theatres for the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

The home in the Colony at El Mirador. It is a beautiful, quiet enclave of a handful of beautiful homes, carefully secluded behind a huge wooden gate. The home was wonderful and quite roomy for just the two of us. We enjoyed the pool, on a daily basis, and even with the 100 plus temperatures, the pool was a great place to cool down for an hour or so. The interior was well equipped and very comfortable. Everyone at VPS was terrific and always helpful, as usual.

The house was very gracious, with wide halls and high ceilings. It was comfortable and very well equipped, and the yard was beautifully landscaped. The pool was large by Palm Springs standards. Any problems we had were immediately addressed. The reservation team was great. During our stay we dealt with the owner`s representative.
