This home is located on a cliff and may not be suitable for small children.
This is a pet-free property due to the homeowner's extreme allergies. Any animals brought into or around the perimeters of the home will result in immediate eviction, a minimum pet cleaning fee of $500, and loss of any reservation payment and fees.
Local regulations require that the property manager meet you within the first 24 hours of your arrival to review the applicable local ordinances and rules pertaining to your stay.
Palm Desert city ordinance prohibits loud music and unruly parties in residential neighborhoods, and strict occupancy rules are enforced. Over-occupancy and noise violations will result in fines and eviction without a refund.

I've stayed here a few times because it's so amazing. It's become my new favorite destination and have actually been planning trips around when I can go to this house. Perfectly private but so close to incredible bars and restaurants. Clean and luxurious. INCREDIBLE view.

Best, most beautiful place in the entire world. Wish I could live here. Gorgeous pool, stunning views, zen atmosphere. Incredibly private but then only 5 minutes to El Paseo. It's the best of all worlds. Book it, you won't regret it.

The view was so nice from the master bedroom. We enjoyed a little evening hike. The decor was beautiful. They definitely have space to add a pool table and ping pong table.( The dining room is huge and we didn’t use it once). Because we were hunkered down to relax for a few days that would have really added to the house. The one downside was that pool cleaners came in our last day there and I don’t know how many chemicals they added but my daughter broke out in painful hives all over her body. I would come again if there was some adult games like pool table or ping pong and if it was a salt water pool or at least don’t add chemicals while we’re there. Overall we were very pleased with the property.

As I describe our stay @Cliff House, 3 words come to mind - location, comfort and privacy. The location is top notch. The views are stunning. Walk out the front door and you have access to miles of spectacular hiking. You are less than 10 minutes away from wonderful restaurants and shopping on El Paseo drive. There is comfort galore as Cliff House has every amenity you could want. The pool and hot tub are stellar. We cooked every day in the well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms have very comfortable king size beds, roomy closets and HD smart televisions. You can dine alfresco on the patio or in the spacious dining room. The closest home nearby is a half a mile away, so you have incredible privacy. Nothing but tranquility, peace and quiet. We have enjoyed numerous US and European vacation rentals over the past 15 years, but Cliff House is one of our top experiences and we will visit again.

If you wanted to list all the attributes you would need for the location of your perfect getaway, Cliff House checks all the boxes. All the amenities are first class. Pool and spa were perfect, the view of the valley is unparalleled, and the privacy was unbelievable. You are only five minutes from shopping and dining on El Paseo. High marks on this property across the board. We will rent this again in the future

Nice views and proximity to El Paseo. BUT home and amenities were lacking including poor quality mattresses, and horrible towels. Leaking roof and windows. Property manager was useless. Would never recommend.

Where do I start? First of all, the view from this place will completely distract you from all the other wonderful qualities of this home. I developed a spa ritual of coffee in the morning and slack-jawed star and city gazing every evening after dinner. We enjoyed the spa and large heated pool every day of our stay. We were also totally spoiled to have great hiking trails right out the front gate. The entire property is beautifully landscaped...our own little paradise in the desert. Inside the home is just as lovely, filled with very stylish furniture and decor. The kitchen is very nicely equipped with cookware and appliances, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking every night. The owner of the home, Mike, was very helpful when we had questions. I really can't recommend this home enough. A true gem!

Perfect private getaway with all the amenities! Nice kitchen with everything we needed. We stopped at the grocery store before checking in and didn't leave until we had to check out. The pool was perfect for the two of us for morning, noon and night swims. Second visit here for us and plan on booking again the next chance we can.

I started out staying here every time I was in Palm Desert, but it's so perfect that I've started planning trips to visit the house itself, rather than the other way around. The best way to explain it is this: all the comforts of home with all the luxuries of a 5-star resort. Absolutely amazing views, impeccable interior design, and the secluded location makes for a spa-like atmosphere. And just a 3 minute drive to downtown Palm Desert/El Paseo Drive, delicious restaurants, and great nightlife! Just book it, you'll thank me later.

1) The spa never heated up as we were told it should.

2) Gardeners were there for about two hours with mechanical devices screaming and managed to cover everything outside with dirt, dust and plant debris. We had to endure their presence and noise, then clean up after them. We basically lost an afternoon to them.

3) We found cockroaches in the bathroom.

4) We found mouse **** all over the cloth napkins and place mats.

We don`t like having to spend our vacation calling service people to do things that should have been done before we arrived.This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was so private. Coming to the desert in August/Sept., there was little traffic. It was easy to get restaurant reservations. The first time driving up to the cliff house was a little scary, one lane curvy road with no guardrails. But my husband had no trouble up or down. The views were fantastic, the house extremely clean, with every kitchen utensil needed for cooking in. The wi-fi worked perfectly, so that we could make it a working vacation. We have stayed in many vacation homes and villas, but none as spectacular as this property. The secluded location and views were outstanding, and the property was clean, well appointed, and impeccably maintained. The 2200 sq. ft. interior was spacious and had everything we needed in the kitchen for a luxurious four night stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the private pool and the lovely patio area. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were very good quality. The closets and cabinetry were beautiful. This is obviously a much loved property, and we are glad the owners have decided to rent it when they are not in the area. This home is so perfect for 4 ladies! Each bedroom has it`s own private bathroom, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and the pool/spa with that view are unbeatable!

We did have a little difficulty with Uber, which they did make us aware of beforehand, but the drivers contacted me and we were able to give them the correct directions for pick up!

This was such an amazing home to stay in for a small family of 4. My husband and I took our two boys for 3 nights for a little change in quarantine scenery.
