This cozy La Quinta home is as charming as it is inviting. Ideal for that well-deserved family getaway, this cozy getaway boasts plenty of desirable amenities inside and out. This home is a mile and a half from some of the best hiking trails in the valley and just two miles from the historic La Quinta Resort and Spa - it's your choice between nature and nurture! For unique shopping and dining options, take a short drive or walk to Old Town La Quinta, just a little over a mile from your door. And don't forget your clubs and tennis rackets because there are countless courses and clubs throughout the area!

The visiting chef in your group will have everything they need in the full kitchen to prepare anything from quick breakfasts to complete dinners. Dine together at one of two tables, or bust out the board games for family game nights. Out back, you'll find an enclosed yard with a furnished patio, gas grill, and a sparkling pool. Borrow one of the many provided books and relax poolside with a cold drink! (You have the option to heat the pool for an added fee.)

Things to Know
The fireplace is decorative only - it's not available for use.
Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights, with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

Overall we had a very nice time at this home. It was an older home that needs a bit of TLC, but served us fairly well. Apart from the owner of the homes clutter, which with small children was very hard to keep clean, and the taps not consistently working, our stay was very good.

We stayed for month in March 2024. Really enjoyed the location of the home and the amenities. This property has everything you need to enjoy the desert. The small pool is great for a quick dip. The patio furniture is comfortable and we enjoyed morning coffees out there. Old Town La Quinta is worth a visit. The art show was interesting and patio restaurants/bars are enjoyable too. The walking trails are very close and scenic. The property is in need of some updating inside and out that would make for a better guest experience. Overall I would recommend this property for a nice stay.

Pool equipment runs 24-7 including the pool light, due to the timer being broken , tiles have blown off the south side of the home and water leaked onto the Sheetrock in the garage, sewer line backed up through the shower all over the master bath floor, but I will say this, Vacasa truly stepped up and relocated me to a beautiful home, so in my view, THE OWNER REFUSES to spend a penny on the home

Kindly note that the pool light is on a switch and instructions on the switch are in the house book. The pool timer needed to be adjusted and is working as needed. Roof tiles are missing which we are working with the owner on getting replaced. We are so sorry for the issues you had with the sewer line. The owner worked on relining the drain line from the house cleanout to the city connection the day after your departure. We are committed to providing our guests an exceptional vacation experience and we are so sorry that we dropped the ball. We hope to have another chance to better impress you in the future.

The location was nice, close to the trails at the end of the street. Gas leak when turning on the dryer. The entire house filled with the smell. I had to open all of the doors and windows to air out the house. Dangerous.

Thank you for your feedback, Chris. We apologize for any concerns encountered during your stay. To clarify, there was no gas leak. The home is operated on propane and the tech that filled the propane said that when the propane runs empty you will be able to smell propane. He filled up the propane and checked the appliances for any leaks and nothing is currently leaking. We hope to have a chance to host you for a much better stay in the future.

Great location, if you want easy access to hiking, bike paths, and old town La Quinta. The rooms are good, but furniture is dated. The couch in the living room has a very bad smell, and the dishwasher was pretty much worthless. The electronic lock on the property was a pain - is a 10 digit number really necessary?

Good location, easy to reserve, convenient check-in, check-out. Cute & colorful one-story adobe home with small pool. The living room was cozy and sunny in the mornings making a great place to sit & have a cup of coffee. Enjoyed sitting on the side patio in the late afternoon. The kitchen was well stocked with ample plates (colorful fiesta style), cookware, etc. & the pantry had basic items for cooking (s/p, olive oil, various cooking spices, etc.). Conveniently located close to “old town” La Quinta and only a five minute walk from the pedestrian path (Fred Wolff Bear Creek Nature Preserve) at end of street. All things considered, the house is in need of some obvious minor repairs/maintenance. Aside from this issue, it worked well for our party of four in town for 3 days/nights for the Paribas Tennis Tournament.

There was plenty of room for the four of us. The kitchen was not the best stocked but had everything we needed (we were not there to cook). The back pool yard is smaller than it appears and some of the landscaping was "dead" but we were there in winter and not for the pool. We needed a comfortable spot to sleep near the polo grounds and everyone agreed the beds were extremely comfortable. The home is older with some deferred maintenance but it served our purposes well and we will be back.

Overall the house was great. The only thing was that at night the house would get super hot. We would all wake up sweating. We tried to make the house feel comfortable but it was just hot and only at night. Another thing we had a few tiny ants on one of the dining tables. Other than that, the beds were comfortable, the pool was amazing and we had a great time.

Cozy retreat lived up to its name. It was Cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard, enjoying the beautiful mountain view and the pool. The kitchen area was great for meal prep. Two big dining areas were great for meals and playing board games. Also enjoyed being walking distance from Bear Creek trail. The only thing that could make it any cozier would be a nice recliner I the living room! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again

The beds and linens and hardwood floors. Issues with blinds, sprinklers, pool, drains, noise in neighborhood. Wont stay here again.

We 100% Recommend this Property !!! We found it last minute when we had to evacuate from the fires - We have 4 small dogs and they were gladly accepted !!! The Beds are beyond cozy - each and every one of them !!! There is plenty of fluffy bedding and fluffy pillows - and fluffy towels - Washer Dryer - Full kitchen supplies and a bbq for all of your cooking needs. Darling Pool - Tv`s in every room.... Tidy and Very Clean - Feels Private and Quiet - This property exceeded our expectations !!! You can tell that the owners of this property take special care ... It is bright and sunny located and in a cozy neighborhood tucked back by and surrounded by mountains - Near shops and restaurants and Old Town LaQuinta - We definitely look forward to un plugging here again in the future !!!

We stayed at Destination Cozy Retreat for weekend two of Coachella. We had a group of six people and we made sure to follow all of the rules included in the rental agreement. The place was large enough for our group, we were comfortable and had a good night’s sleep every night. The neighborhood is quiet and clean.
