When you visit this beautiful area of Palm Springs, you will have access to playing golf (reasonable greens fees apply) at Mesquite Country Club and be close to all of the best attractions. Though it will be hard to leave your own private oasis, downtown Palm Springs is just three miles away offering a plethora of local boutiques, museums, restaurants, and casinos that will fill each day with fun. Not to mention, the hiking trails of Mount San Jacinto State Park and Joshua Tree National Park are great places to change up the scenery and enjoy the unique desert landscape.

THINGS TO KNOW
  • Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • The utility deposit is $500 for 28 nights with $125 added for each additional week the guest stays.

PROS_ Large nice clean unit, easy check-in and check-out, well organized and well equipped, quality furniture and the best quality bedding sets, in a good safe neighborhood. CONS_ If you consider leaving early in the morning and coming back late at night for just a few hours of sleep and a shower, this may not be affecting you.HOWEVER, if you are a family minded person and consider to stay most of the day in this unit, enjoy your morning coffee and evening drink sitting outside and feeling this is your second home and you are here to relax and enjoy your vacation, this may be of your concerns. 1) Noise from the upper unit, it was sounding like moving heavy furniture on the hard floor, sometimes shaking the whole building, and till midnight.  At first, I was assuming it was a tender storm in the area, it was that loud and shaking.2) One day a heavy cascade of water was pouring down from the above balcony in the front of the unit splashing all over the yard furniture and sitting area, it was for about 30 minutes. It could be draining and washing an outdoor tub on the balcony. Sanitation is an issue when such amounts of dirty water splashes all over.3) I noticed the cigarette butts near the entrance, they were accumulating daily and most likely were thrown down from the stairs and balcony above the entrance door. Not only a fire danger, the guests could get blamed for it in a non-smoking unit.4) On a few occasions, a man with no shirt on, was heavily smoking next to the front sitting area and very close to the windows.

It was noted that this unit was a bit dated, but we found it far beyond that. We had plumbing issues (sink, toilet and dishwasher, all unrelated), incomplete instructions, and missing items that one would expect to find (remote control batteries, dish towels, BBQ cooking and cleaning tools). Highly recommend that owners make some needed fixes, and that future renters confirm that these things have been fully resolved.

My family and I had a great time. The location was perfect; very close to shopping, recreation, and had beautiful views of the Coachella Valley. The condo was clean and comfortable. Everything worked (wi-if, cable, a/c, etc.) Gated community was peaceful, friendly people and felt safe. Would definitely recommend this place for small families.

We really liked the location of this unit in the 2nd Phase of Mesquite: it has a great mountain view, the pool is well maintained and just steps away, and the grounds are also well maintained. It was quiet and just minutes from the airport.

The unit was clean when we arrived and was well stocked with linens and kitchen equipment. For the most part we found it described accurately in the listing, although the unit has 2 queen beds not 1 king and 1 queen.

However calling it "Mesquite Chic" is a bit of a stretch. While the beds were comfortable and furniture in good shape, things are dated and in need of maintenance. The patio doors in particular desperately need attention as they are very hard to roll (we alerted the property manager to this). But the kitchen cabinet doors/hinges are showing their age, the patio furniture cushions have been destoyed by the sun, and the BBQ wheels are broken (although it otherwise works well). Unlike other rentals where the owner has a locked cabinet for their belongings, in this unit
various items are scattered throughout and we found that unusual.

This is an OK place to stay, but a little TLC would go a long way. We rated this a 3 out 5 five because it met our expectations for location and grounds but fell back due to maintenance issues. With a few things fixed it would easily be a 4.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We liked the easy access to bike paths. It was quiet even though we stayed at a lower unit. We will do this again but would want an upper unit. The only downside was that there was no sun shelter at the pool, no umbrella, etc.
