This Palm Springs vacation villa is a fantastic retreat in the peaceful Los Compadres neighborhood. Contemporary, modern, and stylish, it's a perfect fit for those looking to unwind and enjoy the Palm Springs sunshine poolside. Walk through the breezeway between the home and the garage to the backyard, where a glistening pool and spa (both can be heated for a fee) beckon you to relax and let your cares slip away. Stretch out on one of the chaise lounges and soak up that Palm Springs sun while being surrounded by a lush green lawn and mature citrus trees, including lemon and grapefruit. The backyard faces west, framing a picturesque view of the San Jacinto Mountains, and there's an outdoor dining space for eight under the covered patio, as well as a propane barbeque for preparing and enjoying meals al fresco. Once inside this 1, 600 square foot Palm Springs hideaway, the natural light streams into the main living space through the large windows and glass doors, offering a bright and open feeling. The furnishings are contemporary and sleek, with a dash of modern for that Palm Springs vibe. The main seating area is a great place to gather friends and family around the gas fireplace or to enjoy a movie on the 42' TV with a DVD player. The open floor plan makes spending time together easy, as the living room, dining room, and kitchen are all open to each other.

WHAT’S NEARBY

Perched in a convenient location equidistant from the hustle and bustle of downtown and the Palm Springs International Airport, you will have no problem soaking up the best of this desert city. Start each morning with a cup of coffee from Koffi on the way over to the various trails at Tahquitz Canyon just three miles away. When you want to check out the core of downtown, head down Palm Canyon Drive and explore the fun shops, tasty restaurants, and art exhibits. For some fun away from the city, Joshua Tree National Park and Mount San Jacinto State Park are both closeby for a day trip!

THINGS TO KNOW

Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

My wife and I commend the owner and Vacasa for providing a beautiful home for our six day vacation. Everything worked well and we were satisfied with the operation of the pool. A couple of problems occurred which were quickly handled by the staff. The pool and yard were clean and well maintained. The house was clean throughout and the shelves were filled with whatever was needed. This home is on our list for a return visit.

The home was nice, spacious and centrally located. The backyard, pool and spa were great, clean and private. The only issue was the mosquitoes and the subsequent bites while enjoying the property. Cleanliness could have been a little better, but with a little attention to detail, I would definitely stay here again.

This home is well equipped for cooking and barbecuing and is in a pleasant neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool and appreciated that we could bring our dog. We were able to check in via a lock code sent to us just before the 4pm check in time.

We loved the quietness of the neighborhood/location of the house. There was also a long driveway which gave us a lot of space to pack/unpack the car. The amenities inside the house were good, but you could definitely tell there was some wear and tear inside (cabinets, amenities, cooking utensils, washer/dryer, etc.). Because it was cold at night, we didn't get to use the pool/jacuzzi. And as mentioned previously, the lights inside the house are a little dim. Otherwise, it was a nice "home away from home" for my family during Christmas. Great basecamp!

This house was amazing. It was clean and comfortable, the showers and restrooms were super cool. The artwork throughout the home is amazing. The pool was perfect, the BBQ made great food, the neighborhood was ideal and I felt like I was home. Everything was easy to find included a dishwasher and washer/dryer and 3 doors that exit to the outside patio and pool area which was my favorite part of the house.

We loved the house , but with that said when you are paying close to $ 500.- per day plus heating the pool $ 400.- you expect a better appearance. Kitchen cabinets are falling apart , tiles in the pool are missing , lack of landscaping . I thing to invest a couple of dollars wouldn’t hurt . House is clean our dog loved it but it needs love .

Overall the house was clean and equipped with everything we needed with the exception of face cloths. Large TV was provided in the living room, very small TV in the master but no TV in the other 2 bedrooms.
No information was provided to set house alarm. We did experience a small invasion of very tiny ants in the kitchen sink area. The bottom of doors going out to the pool area were not properly sealed causing a baby ? Lizard to enter.
Overall, a nice house.
The pool was great except on the day that both the Gardner and pool person arrived on the same day. Pool person cleaned the pool in the morning but the Gardner came after , blowing grass and debris in the pool enabling us from getting back in the pool before sun down. There was no covered parking for your car. Temperature in the 100’s.

This is my third time staying at this home and I love it more and more each time! It’s clean, updated, stylish, comfortable, well stocked with all the the things (plush pool towels, floaties, kitchen supplies, etc) plus the shade next to the pool and the umbrellas are a game changers. It is the perfect place to stay to get some sun and relax!

My husband and I needed a quick getaway & Palm Springs was the perfect destination. It was pretty warm out and the pool was refreshing and kept us cool. In the evening , the spa hit the spot! The back yard has the perfect amount of afternoon shade just when you need it, but lots of opportunities to soak up the sun.
The style, furnishing & layout of the house are great - nice and bright, rocking AC & the bathrooms are like being in a spa - super nice and new! The kitchen had everything we needed & the magnet collection is fun to browse.
Overall, we'd stay here again for sure! Great value!

The house was clean and roomy with a nice kitchen to make some family meals. There was also a grill to use by the pool. The rooms were comfy and clean. They provided lots of towels for the pool which we used everyday we were there. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the Palm Springs weather.

We wanted a family getaway and this house was awesome. We brought our 3 dogs with us and with the enclosed backyard and pool it was perfect. Even on really windy days you noticed nothing in the back by the pool. Highly recommend this residence for a family retreat, especially if you want to bring your pets (pet friendly house).

The property itself I read a 10. Unfortunately the excessive communications from booking.com through the property management company, called Vacasa, is one of the most intrusive systems I’ve ever encountered. You received a text without verification codes multiple times a day, same emails with no update in any type of new information about the property in your stay on a daily basis, notifications in the app, and even a phone call again all redundant asking the same questions or requiring the customers input. They also had a lot of rules about sound and check out was 10 AM with a cleaning person knocking on the door at 10:02. Check in time isn’t until 4 PM so it was really like a day and a half versus two days. As well the rules about the noise is kind of a joke because the neighbors had gardeners starting at 7 AM each morning.
