Welcome to Hi View House, a quiet desert escape in the beautiful Highlands area of Joshua Tree, sitting on five acres next to national park mountains. This stylish, comfortable house features a breathtaking panorama overlooking the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and is a haven for wildlife. Yet with all that seclusion, guests will still enjoy a convenient location, just a little over three miles from either the West Entrance or the village of Joshua Tree. The shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and amenities of Yucca Valley are less than 10 miles west, and Twentynine Palms is around 18 miles east.

At home, sip your coffee with a spectacular sunrise from your backyard or screened patio and step inside to make some breakfast when you get hungry. The open concept combines the comfortable living area, dining room, and kitchen, making it ideal for gathering together. The spacious, full kitchen features stainless steel appliances, warm butcher-block countertops, and all the cabinets and space you need to whip up a feast. Grab a bite together at the table inside, or dine alfresco on the patio. Spend the day exploring the ethereal landscapes of Joshua Tree National Park, then return home to relax for the evening. Stream the latest release or use the free, high-speed WiFi to catch up on remote work at the dedicated workstation. End the day as you began, back outside on the patio, but this time admiring the clear night sky and toasting your good fortune at booking the perfect desert escape.

We loved this home. The layout is beautiful, clean and spacious. Well stocked, exactly as listed. It was so quiet!!! In the mornings and the evenings, we really enjoyed the sun rise and sunset. 6 miles to the park entrance was perfect.I would recommend this house if you are thinking of spending time at Joshua Tree!

We had great 2 nights at this property. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the quiet split-unit air conditioning kept us cool in the hot desert night. The surrounding area was very peaceful and dark, making it perfect for stargazing. The unpaved roads were a bit rough, but the main road was close by and it was only a 2-minute drive to the park entrance.

This house is in a great location, and the views are incredible. Though the house is on the older side, the landscaping and updates that have been done to the house all made it very beautiful and comfortable. We loved all of the windows throughout the house – gorgeous views no matter where you are. The owner was clearly thoughtful about stocking the place, particularly the kitchen – we had everything we needed, including the essentials (coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and a variety of seasonings) and all the pots and pans to cook any meal. The propane grill on the back patio was a bonus! We enjoyed building a fire in the fitpit to stay warm while watching the sunrise (make sure you pick up some firewood at a nearby store like Sam's Market). Access to JTNP was as easy at it gets!

Overall we enjoyed the 2 week stay very much! The mattress was very comfortable and the couches worked just fine. The large lot and scenery out the back door from the kitchen table was enjoyable, as were most other views from various locations. Lots of wildlife roaming around, we enjoyed that too. Good walking trails nearby and of course Joshua Tree National Park was a just a few minutes away with some fantastic hikes and scenery.

I loved the views from the house and patios. There is abundant wildlife for viewing. Coyotes stroll through and congregate in small groups for a yapping, howling session. A roadrunner glides across the yard. Quail and jackrabbits feed on the grounds. The setting is peaceful, quiet and beautiful. Just wonderful.

A comfy home with loads of stuff for a rental for cooking, yoga, tv watching (some Amazon streaming included), and not too far from the west side entrance to the park. Loved being outside under the stars and got a great nights sleep in the beds. Wifi wasn’t 100% the whole time we were there and the house was a little chilly. Other than that it was perfect!

We loved our stay at Hi View House. It was the perfect location for getting both to the park and to town, and the views from the floor to ceiling windows and screened in patio were idyllic. And, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and all the amenities we needed to create some wonderful meals! We'd definitely stay here again!

Great central property in Joshua Tree Highlands. Beautiful views and close to the West entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Worth it for this alone. House definitely needed some TLC but overall not a bad place to stay.

We very much enjoyed this home and it's part in our Joshua Tree experience.Our bed was super comfy, nice large kitchen, bedrooms, and living room. Everything was very clean.As other reviewers have stated, the road is rugged but driveable (we have an SUV). A couple of reviewers stated that there was a loud noise from the rooftop during windy nights. We did NOT experience this, so that must have been fixed. It was very quiet.We were happy to find that the home offers an electric plug-in for our EV. Note that it is not a charging station, so you need to use your EV plug in cord. It fully charged over night.

Such a nice place, situated above and away from main roads, so quiet, great view. You pay for it a little with the bumpy roads, but they're really no problem if you go slow. House is really comfortable. We especially liked the deep porches in front and back, from which we watched wildlife. And it was abundant. Lots of birds, jack- and cotton tail rabbits, lizards, even a small group of coyotes that serenaded us, then passed by hunting their evening meal. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We booked this house to get away from construction noise in our own home and it was so peaceful! We really enjoyed sitting outside having our coffee and enjoying all the nature and beautiful views. If you cook, you'll love the kitchen! It was very well appointed and everything seemed brand new. Great place to enjoy the silence...can't wait to go back!

We loved this house, spacious, well-equipped, beautiful large lot with wildlife and great views of mountains, national park, and Joshua Tree. The dirt road to the house is VERY rugged, and requires a high clearance, all wheel drive vehicle. Follow the directions given by the rental agency, do NOT use Google Map!

We loved the house, it has a really well-stocked kitchen, everything is very comfortable. Lost a star because there is something that bangs on the roof in the wind, and the listing says there are laundry facilities but there are not.

The house is very well equipped including things like a blender and yoga mats. The kitchen appeared to be newly remodeled and was stocked with everything you would need to do some serious cooking. All equipment seemed to be new. And it was spotlessly clean. Outside the house is a little rough around the edges, but that seems to be part of Joshua Tree "style". Also, we did not realize that to get to the house, you have to go for quite a distance on very rutted, dirt roads. Fortunately we had an SUV. It would be a hard drive in a sedan. Be prepared, and make the first drive there in daylight.Big plus is that you can actually see the North entrance to Joshua Tree NP from the house. It's that close. VACASA has a great and easy software program that makes check in and out fast and easy. Communication was very efficient.

Vacasa property management was tough to get a hold of and tough to get information out of regarding the property. I asked a few simple questions while trying to prepare for our trip and they were not able to answer them. This was very frustrating. Their staff gave me inconsistent answers and I consistent information about how they plan communicate with me (email, VRBO app, text message). I wish the property was managed by the actual owner, as he/she would probably be able to provide a higher level of customer service. The property itself was great, the kitchen was recently remodeled, it was clean (some dust bunnies and some trash on the patio), each room has its own new HVAC unit. Only compliant about the house (besides it’s property manager) was the abandoned roof top HVAC unit ducting made loud banging noises from the being blown around by the wind. It was loud enough to wake us during the night. Overall, great location tucked up against the mountain, and extremely close to Joshua Tree West Park Entrance. The road was fairly washed out during recent rain storms so a vehicle with some ground clearance is recommended to get to the house.
