This is a lovely, well appointed home. The kitchen is well stocked and with glassware, dishes, etc. and cooking utensils. The neighborhood is very quiet. The Fred Wolfe nature trail is close. The pool is large and there is extensive seating under cover and out.Cons: Heating the pool is very expensive unless you are sharig the cost with other guests, but for 2 difficult.The worst thing is the MOSQUITOES! We have had the same problem in another La Quinta house we rented. They are out in broad daylight, small so you don't see them and make no noise. They go for the ankles -- I even had a bite on the sole of my foot! Bring bug repellent. Also -- the fridge's water dispenser and ice maker did not work. We reported this to the property manager, but they never responded.

This is a great house - yes a jewel. It is all yard, and a great yard. Corner lot, huge yard, green grass, beautiful pool and decent plastic spa. But the privacy is grand, and the views in every direction of palm trees and mountains behind is the jewel part (power lines everywhere too, but what can you do). The house itself is modest and tasteful, but the yard is the star of the show.

This house was perfect for a long stay with friends and family! I stay several times a year in the area and this now my favorite. Walking to downtown is easy great coffee shops and trails are wasy from the house. The outdoor space is fabulous my only negative is the sprinklers come on at 8pm ending the outdoor activities to enjoy*maybe 9:30pm would be better to consider?

Our family had such a wonderful and accommodating little getaway at this home. We’ve stayed at a few properties in La Quinta, and this one by far has been the loveliest. It is very obvious upon arrival that this home is deeply cared for - the cozy furniture and layout, cleanliness and so many extra touches were above and beyond :). Spacious for families or even a few adults for a short or long stay . The outdoor area is lovely - we enjoyed the bocci ball and cricket court and the supersized pool! I must mention that the outdoor covered lounge area is very smart and was much appreciated for shading the desert sun. I can go on and on about how great this home is! We look forward to the next time we visit La Quinta! Lastly, the Vacasa mgmt team was super friendly and responsiveness. Thank you!!

Overall I give this property a C grade (3 stars or less), and here's why: The grounds are quite nice, and very functional. Lots of room. While we did not use the pool, I would say as a pool owner, it was in need of better general maintenance. The freestanding Hot Tub, again from an owner of a similar type, was awful (at least for our stay). Dirty and in serious need of cleaning, with no sign of proper water conditioning. All this for a mandatory pre-paid fee. I don't think it's asking too much to have it ready to use upon check-in. Having a two car garage is nice. Moving on, the interior is decent. A bit old and worn, but serviceable, with a well stocked kitchen, newer appliances, and spartan, but comfortable furnishings. Beyond this, I have to say the place is in need of some serious cleaning and perhaps some upgrades. They collect a fairly high cleaning fee, and a daily pet fee (as well as a damage waiver which I assume is for "self insurance" on their part for of any minor damage). So it should not be asking that much to have at least clean carpet and flooring. The carpeting in the rooms is filthy, and does not appear to have been cleaned in 6 months. It really should be replaced with something more durable (Laminate or Vinyl (LVF)). The tile flooring is fairly dirty and smells of urine. However faint, it's still there and noticeable. Probably permeated the grout, which I know can be problematic. But still, for what amounts to $300 to $400+ per stay in cleaning and pet fees, this is unacceptable. The master shower is a dual head and the fixed one overhead was disconnected from the line and was not usable, as it was spraying water all over the drywall above the enclosure. Again, a simple item that must have been noted previously. There are few other items that based on my contact with Vacasa will hopefully be addressed in addtion to those noted above. A TV that won't function properly, broken outdoor lights that could use some attention, etc. In summary, I would not recommend this property, and will not be booking it for an upcoming stay in June. I would however change my mind if there were some sort of evidence that the owner had made the investment in some of these "basic" maintenance and upkeep items. I'm really surprised at the recent 4 and 5 star reviews, as I think my honest opinion is that it's a 2.5 start property at best.

The house, yard and pool are amazing. We had the best time hanging out and swimming. The yard is very large and beautiful. The house is less than a half mile from downtown La Quinta where there are great places to eat. The neighborhood is hit or miss but it felt very private in the yard. The house had everything you would need. We would stay there again!

The house was great for our family of 5. The pool is amazing and the view from outside is stunning. I would give the house 5 stars, neighborhood 3 stars so I gave it a total of 4 stars. There is one neighbor who plays music but it’s only heard from inside the house not when you are outside. We spent 2 weeks here and had fun walking to old town for coffee, and tennis was a block away at a great park.

We came to get out of the cold ....fell in love with the layout of the house, pool, hot tub, outdoor lounge and dining areas. The neighborhood is quiet, the view is gorgeous and the pool pure heaven. It was perfect for two couple as each had own bedroom and bath. The house is well supplied in the kitchen, pool towel, bathrobes (great for morning and night by the pool) laundry facilities. Downtown Old La Quinta is charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back!!

The home is perfectly placed on a corner lot in the cove. The back yard is AMAZING! Pictures simply don't it justice. The lights come on at night and theres some festive lights that really make that back yard welcoming at night. Play some bocce on the bocce court or croquet on the well maintained grass and landscape. It's absolutely beautiful. The view of the stars and the mountain take your breath away. Hot tub was definitely a major plus after a long day hiking and playing golf- the stars again take your breath away. The two bikes can take you anywhere you need to go in the city and you're also walking distance to the local farmers market! Great local produce and fruit!! Beds were very comfortable, kitchen had all the supplies and tools needed for a big thanksgiving dinner. Hiking and walking trails less than a mile away also was a plus. Lots of golf near by and the living desert zoo was just a quick trip down the road. Home is more spacious than it looks, and plenty of room for 6 adults and a few kids. Neighborhood was friendly and safe. 10/10- looking to book it for our next trip to the desert!
