Description

Well-located on a quiet street in the Movie Colony neighborhood of Palm Springs, this classic hacienda-style property is a wonderful place to soak in the desert sunshine. The open living space in the main house is perfect for casual living, with its cool tile floors, plentiful seating, and floor-to-ceiling windows that let in the sunlight. Step outside to find a large swimming pool in the backyard, where you can make a splash from the diving board, grill and dine on the shaded patio, or simply relax on the landscaped lawn in awe of your surroundings. At night, there are three bedrooms in the main house - a master suite with a king-size bed and two bedroom suites with a queen bed apiece. The other two bedrooms are in two separate casitas, offering a full bed, a day bed with a trundle, and plenty of privacy.

WHAT’S NEARBY

This home sits two blocks east of Ruth Hardy Park in central Palm Springs, where you'll find tennis courts and playgrounds that are open to the public. If you continue walking westward, you'll soon reach Palm Canyon Drive in the heart of downtown (less than a mile west), which is home to an assortment of renowned restaurants, shops, theaters, casinos, and other forms of entertainment. If you're looking to admire the beauty of your desert surroundings, be sure to take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway only six miles west.

THINGS TO KNOW

Two of the bedrooms are located in two separate casitas on the property
Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

This home provided a wonderful space for our out-of-town family to gather and celebrate Thanksgiving 2022. The dining table for this event easily accommodated our nine guests for several hours of dining and discussion. The beds were all comfortable and the grounds are well maintained.

A beautiful, spacious home with lots of fruit trees and great accommodations for a girl’s 50th birthday bash with besties. The pool was already cold in early November - do pay and have it heated ahead of time because the manager was not willing to accommodate once we were checked in -otherwise, I would’ve given 5 stars. Quiet, well stocked , and clean.

The house is on a great piece of property in the Movie Colony district which is walkable to downtown. There are 5 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms which was needed with our mixed group. I am 6'5" tall and the master bath in the main house is a little short for me so we stayed in the second master suite which was in an outbuilding. This allowed my girlfriend and I privacy but if we had little kids the out building would not have been an option. So if you are tall with young children, this may not be the best house for you.
Overall the house is need need of some basic upgrades. While everything worked it wasn't at the level you might expect for the nightly price point. At the end of the day I would stay here again though :)

this is a wonderful family home with a very large backyard and large pool. it is comfortable and well equiped. it is a short walk to downtown palm springs and two blocks from a great park. everything you need for a family vacation

This house was really lovely, and had all of the things that we had hoped for. We would be very interested in booking this same home again for a future stay. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was the morning of our check-out. We were scheduled to check out on Monday morning at 10:00am. Being our last day of vacation, we wanted to sleep in and thought from the beginning that a 10:00am check-out was probably too early. To our disappointment a lawn care company came to take care of the front and back yard, very early on Monday morning, waking everyone up. Then, at 9:30am, before check out, a cleaning company arrived and was ready for us to leave, so they could remain on schedule. It definitely felt like we were being forced out early, and it wasn't the most ideal ending to a wonderful vacation. There should be an option for a later check-out time, and that time shouldn't be interrupted by really loud lawn care companies, and cleaning services.

Very cozy and magical at night when the lights are on inside the house. Property could use some attention but lots of bedrooms, bathrooms & large pool & yard.

Very large and beautiful home and Decor . It’s definitely not for the summer time as they have single pane windows and AC can NOT cool house below 88 degrees in home. The 5th room is unusable due to hot weather as it’s not insulated at all so nothing can keep it even at room temperature. The pool is big and backyard is large and plush with a lot of seating under an awning . Over all it would be perfect outside of summer time near in Palm Springs.

We really enjoyed our stay at the San Jacinto Villa! The pool was great and bigger than expected, the grassy area was perfect for playing catch and lounging around, and the home itself was very clean and comfortable (with sizable lounge space both indoor and outdoor). We were disappointed by the outdoor grill and the lack of lighting outside once it gets dark.

This house is really beautiful and nicely decorated. It`s very generous and had a good kitchen which made it easy to cook for a larger group, also enough `hang out` places. The pool is huge and the gardens are beautiful. Would totally come again!!

This is a great spot for a group! The backyard has tons of space and a beautiful pool. It is also centrally located in Palm Springs. Would definitely recommend for groups, especially if you want a great location to relax poolside.
