Welcome to Shaken, Not Stirred!

In this private mid-century Palm Springs home, enjoy the mountain views from the saline pool, six-person spa, covered pergola with seating for eight, chaise lounge seating for six, and a gas BBQ. The pool includes a tanning ledge, lap lane, waterfall, and pool toys.

Enjoy the mid-century feel while appreciating comfort and modern amenities. Relax in front of the fireplace as you watch your favorite show on the new 42-inch TV, complete with a DVD player and Showtime. The indoor dining table seats six, plus the bar seating for four. Fisher & Paykel appliances and Caesarstone countertops highlight the kitchen updates. The home has WiFi, a Bose portable music system, and unlimited long-distance calling for the US and Canada. Vintage touches include a Lucite cart once owned by Liberace and a framed Life Magazine cover of Steve McQueen, who lived in the cul-de-sac.

The main bedroom features a separate private bath, a slider to the backyard, and a 32-inch LCD with a DVD player. The other bedrooms each have a 32-inch TV with DVDs. All bedrooms offer blackout window coverings to assure the Palm Springs sun doesn't force early morning wake-ups.

A washer/dryer is conveniently located in the hallway.

THINGS TO KNOW

There is a sofa bed plus a rollaway twin bed for additional guest accommodations.
Complimentary use of the two cruiser bikes is included.
Pool/spa heat can be added upon request at an additional charge.
Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights, with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

The house has a great history, but is in need of a refresh to match like the beautiful state of the pool and home in the listing pics. A few repairs needed as well and will be good as new then and great to stay in.

This was by far the worst rental experience I have ever had! It started with realizing the house was not very clean at all. Were were asked by Vacasa (about an hour after arrival) to score the cleanliness out of 5 and we responded with 3.5. The reality was that it should have been more like a 2.5 or 3. Then, we went to start the oven to cook some frozen pizzas after a long day of travel. The knob that controlled the functions (bake, broil, etc.) was taped on with scotch tape. We opened the oven and smelled gas. We called the local Vacasa team and spoke with the manager on call. He was sympathetic to our situation and called the gas company. We expressed our extreme displeasure in the place but by that point it was already 9pm and we could not move. The gas company arrived and the technician was great. He determined we were safe but issued the rental a "pink slip" because renovations that included the stove weren't up to code.In addition to the above issues, the house is EXTREMELY beat up. The walls were dinged up and marked up...something that could have been mostly taken care of with some elbow grease. The toilet paper dispenser was ripped out of the wall in the master bath. The master shower hardly drained. The back door handle was coming apart. No exterior backyard lights worked at all...no pool lights, landscaping...nothing. Ashley, the rental homes manager, came by the next day and did a great job taking time to hear our concerns. She scheduled the maintenance man to come fix the backyard lights. She also discovered the pool filter was broke and needed replaced. She told us that a long term renter had been in the house prior to our arrival. I HIGHLY recommend that Vacasa managers do a thorough walk through after any long term renters!!!!! Ashely tried to get us set up in a new rental but it wouldn't be available until that evening and I couldn't guarantee that it would be any better...at this point we just wanted to enjoy the pool and start our vacation (we had already lost one whole day). In the end, we made the place work. The backyard is comfortable and relaxing. The lights were fixed and we spent all of our time awake in that backyard. Vacasa refunded us the equivalent of 28% due to our troubles and insisted the house was going to be fixed for future renters. 28% doesn't seem adequate to me and I WILL NEVER USE VACASA AGAIN! With all the great rentals in Palm Springs I would suggest another vacation rental manager. The local team did fine, but as a company I am pretty disgusted. Be careful using Vacasa for your Palm Springs getaway. Next time we go to Palm Springs, which is frequently, we will be sticking with one of the other rental companies or Airbnb.

The parts were ordered for the oven/stove and an appliance vendor made sure the stove/oven was in good working order. The pool vendor took care of the pool filter and any other maintenance the pool system may have had. The shower drains and toilet paper holders have been addressed and cleared. Housekeeping took care of all the scuff marks on the walls. Please know that your experience does not reflect the high standards we aim to uphold, and we are committed to regaining your trust on your next visit. We hope to have a chance to better impress you in the future.

House and back yard are extremely private with high masonry wall and plants. Amenities are very nice the vibe and feel of the mid-century modern house make the vacation great. My wife and I have been many times to this house and we will for sure be back.

I think that it is a nice house, but very small for me. I understand that it was a wind storm when we arrived and you can not control Mother Nature. I at least thought someone would have came out to clean the pool. I guess a lot of me expectations were not met from looking at it on the website. I feel like I should not have to do a load of towels or take out the trash after paying a expensive cleaning fee. What are the cleaning people showing up for? The biggest thing for me was the house never really got warm in the back bedroom. It was actually cold at night and being ask in the home book not to adjust the thermostat was a nice touch. Probably will not be staying here again.

My wife and I have been to Shaken Not Stirred many times and have loved it every time. The house is very nice mid-century modern, the pool and hot tub are perfect, the back yard is totally private, and the furnishings keep with the mid-century vibe of the house. Love all of the water toys and chairs around the pool. Checking in and out was a breeze. We will be back again soon - not soon enough!

After the year we've all had, what better way to celebrate my second 40th bday/week than lounging the day away by the pool and enjoying the sauna-like conditions of a Palm Springs late May/early June? The location was very central to all of the Palm Springs 'hot' spots (see what I did there?) and we got plenty of use out of the spacious outdoor area, using the grill for almost every meal and enjoying al fresco dining under the well shaded pergola. Though the house was not well-stocked for meals and general cleaning supplies (BYO spices and extra paper goods, including toilet paper and paper towels), the Albertson's was a 3 minute drive away and provided most of the comforts of home. There were a few maintenance hiccups but all in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a great house! Perfect for relaxing in the desert heat poolside with all the amenities you`ll need. Close to the downtown Palm Springs area, so just a hop, skip and a jump to the grocery store, restaurants, bars and shops.
