San Jacinto. The modern and well-equipped kitchen features Danish modern style cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and stone counters. It opens to the living and dining areas as well as the west and east yards. One of the unique treats this dog-friendly home away from home offers is that each bedroom has its own patio. Incredible, right? Another unbeatable perk is having your own washer/dryer combo at home. There will be no need to go around downtown looking for a laundromat.

WHAT’S NEARBY

You'll be located in the popular El Rancho Vista Estates neighborhood, the first of the Wexler & Harrison residential subdivisions. Developer Roy Fey, a former Chicago accountant who came to the desert and built a small real estate empire, developed this subdivision. He saw the potential Southern California Modernist architecture had in the emerging post-war housing market. His belief in the product led him to use the street name “East Avenida Fey Norte” to memorialize his involvement in the development – a not uncommon practice among residential developers. This gorgeous three-bedroom, two-bath mid-century modern home is a short three-mile drive from downtown Palm Springs restaurants and shopping, including Jake's, Cheeky's, Tropicale, El Jefe, Tinto, Workshop, and more. The residence is located in Palm Springs' El Rancho Vista Estates. Try your luck at the nearby Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs (three and a half miles), or practice your swing at Escena Golf Club or Cimarron Golf Resort.

The property is very well kept and is stocked with all the kitchen essentials of a home. Coffee maker, another coffee maker for the pods, toaster, gas stove, microwave, dishes, serving bowls and platters. Just a few draw backs one being the sofa only seats two and the side chairs are not comfortable to sit long enough for a movie. It would have been nice if there was a sectional. The home exterior paint is black which get pretty hot during the day especially if you want to bbq and the shower beds in the bather are very small for a nice walk in shower. But other than that the grass was nice to have for dogs and children and the pool was a nice size for family fun. Great property!

We had a wonderful time relaxing at the Wexler house! We loved swimming in the super warm pool in a beautiful backyard garden! Make sure to let Vacasa know in advance of your trip that you want to add heat to the pool. The mid century modern design was everywhere. The house, the chairs inside and outside were mid century modern. There were paintings in every room and sculpture in the backyard. The bathrooms were updated and clean. There were plenty of pool and bathroom towels. We loved the tall mature palm trees, the hedges and the potted succulents. The backyard reminded me of the sculpture garden at MoMA in NYC. I am noise sensitive but I didn’t mind the occasional noise from planes taking off from the airport nearby. Overall we were very happy with our experience!

Very functional layout. Lovely pool. Nice decor, especially enjoyed the art on the walls. We usually stay in Movie Colony, but this location is virtually the same Uber time to restaurants, etc. Definitely recommend!

We stayed here to catch the first week matches at the Indian Wells Tennis Paradise. The house is very close to the Palm Springs airport, downtown, and HWY10, yet surprisingly quiet. It got windy on the last day and our local friend told us that's because of the location of the house. We were told pool heating is 3-day minimum so we passed. This info should be given in the house description rather than the daily heating rate. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The house is nicely renovated and decorated, offering the mid-century modern feel!

House size and layout was great. Small kitchen, not a chef’s retreat. Water pressure in primary bathroom was weak but guest shower was great. We heated the pool and it made for a comfortable swim even on 60° days.

This wonderful home is furnished for living, not renting. Bathrooms are modest in size but fully updated. Outdoor living at its finest. Each room has a private patio. And pool area is equipped well for groups, small and large.

Let me start with what was wonderful: the house itself. Beautiful Wexler, mid-century updated with very attractive wood and black accents. The home stays fresh, welcoming during the summer months, and the master bedroom area is a lovely room to spend a few hours when it is too hot out. But please remove that silly waterproof cover on the master mattress: it makes the bed linens slippery! Large pool, nice amenities. The only gripe with the house itself is the water pressure in all showers, laughably low.

The real issue comes from the lack of obvious amenities that should absolutely come with a house of this standing - and at this price. I would expect some version of a nice quality set of pool towels... not the cheap, ugly Vacasa-branded ones provided. The grill is extremely small for a home this size, and begs for an upgrade. No dish rack, very limited amount of dishware and utensils, no aluminum paper or cling wrap... this house is not for the chef in you. The beautiful Nespresso machine is a nice touch... but without pods, it is rendered useless.

The previous tenants apparently broke the large window by the door right before us, and Vacasa did not offer compensation of any kind. I loved the house, but would have loved it more if it weren't a Vacasa-managed rental.

This place was immaculate! High quality authentic furnishings, clean, relaxing, and we really enjoyed the heated pool!! After walking around we decided it was the best house in the Wexler/Harrison neighborhood! The only reason I withheld a star is for the flat pillows which caused some neck issues. Everything else was on par and perfect!
